MOV to MP4 converter
Free, with no upload and no watermark. Turn iPhone, Mac and QuickTime videos into MP4 in this browser tab. The file never leaves your computer.
- No upload
- Uses your graphics card
- No watermark
This is a large file. The MP4 is built in your computer's memory, so it may fail on a computer with little free memory.

Your video stays on your computer
Most online video tools upload your file to their server. This one doesn't need to.
Nothing is uploaded
The page uses the video tools built into your browser. Once it has loaded, it even works offline.
No waiting in a queue
No upload and no download of the result means even a long screen recording is done as fast as your computer allows.
No limits
No sign-up, no watermark and no daily cap. Use it on as many files as you like.
Questions, answered
Is this MOV to MP4 converter free?expand_more
Yes. There is no sign-up, no watermark and no limit on the number of files.
Is my video uploaded to a server?expand_more
No. It all runs inside your browser, on your computer. The file is never sent anywhere, and the page keeps working if you go offline after it has loaded. Read the privacy policy for details.
Why do iPhone videos come out as MOV?expand_more
iPhones and Macs save video in Apple’s QuickTime format, MOV. Inside, the picture is usually HEVC (H.265) on recent iPhones and H.264 on older ones. An MP4 with H.264 plays on almost every device, so that is what this page makes.
Does it work with iPhone HEVC videos?expand_more
Yes, when your browser can read HEVC. Safari can, and so can Chrome and Edge on a Mac or on most recent Windows PCs. If your browser can’t, the page tells you which browser to try.
Does it keep HDR?expand_more
No. The MP4 is saved in standard colour, which looks the same on every screen. Videos filmed in HDR on an iPhone may look a little less bright than the original.
Is there a file size limit?expand_more
There is no fixed limit. The finished MP4 is held in your computer's memory until you download it, so files of a few gigabytes may fail on computers with little memory.
Which browsers does it work in?expand_more
Recent versions of Chrome, Edge, Opera and Safari, and Firefox 130 or newer. It uses the browser's built-in video tools (WebCodecs).
